Join us as we walk you through a range of important topics to give you confidence in preparing for and caring for your newborn.
This class will cover:
- Baby products you need, and those you don’t
- Helpful medicines / treatments to have on hand
- Safe sleep and SIDS prevention
- Location and timing for daytime naps
- Location and timing for overnight sleep
- Sleep regressions: why they happen, how to prevent them, how to fix them
- Sleep training
- Daily care (umbilical care, skin & nail care, circumcision care, etc.)
- Planning for help (grandparents, lactation support, postpartum depression)
- Development guidance

Dr. Tim Porter is a board certified pediatrician and the Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Modern Pediatrics in Austin, TX. Dr. Tim is passionate about new parent education and is thrilled to be teaching this newborn prep curriculum to families across the country.
